Introduction:
My audience will gain some insightful information about the impact of Android phones used in society. I will show how the first Android phone came into play with their designs and features. Also, my research will inform the audience about the purpose of Android phones and how they are used in businesses and focusing on the many issues related to the use of theses phones.  My paper will detail a few Android phones that have had huge success in the global market. Android phones will change the mobile revolution over the next ten years.
Background
The usage of cell phones has increased throughout the 21st Century. Cell phones are more common than ever. Many individuals have cell phones that they use to talk, send messages, or take pictures to friends and families. However, the term “Android” was a word that few people understood during the last two years. Android phones have had an immediate impact on society of the way many people use their smart phones (Lyons, 2010). Android phones have been more appealing to the public gaining popularity and success to many consumers. Many companies and individuals knew little about the android phones but more about Apple and its iPhone products.
The first Android that was sold to public was the T-Mobile G1 in October 2008 and the price of the phone was $190 dollars. The T-Mobile G1 provided wonderful operating systems that integrated with Google applications (“T-Mobile G1”,n.d.). Also, the Android phone had access to the Amazon MP3 Store and YouTube, so it was easier for users to connect to their music and video more efficiently. However, the phone lacked the speaker quality and was not the greatest design. Many individuals found the smart phone difficult and uncomfortable to use. Andy Rubin, a Silicon Valley Engineer, never thought that the Android phone would take off this quickly (Lyons, 2010). The Android phones have been in competition with Apple’s IPhones. However, many new Android phones such as the HTC Evo and Samsung Galaxy have emerged to sync very well with Google applications, have better improvement on their operating systems, and connection to 4G networks.
Potential Benefits:
The Android phones can be very beneficial in society to many workplaces such as businesses and companies. Businesses use Android phones to communicate to their employees to get tasks done. Many employees keep in touch with their organization to communicate any changes of price or customer preferences. Another benefit of using this technology is that Android phones can help sustain a well rounded working business environment (“Impact of Android Phones in Business, 2012”). For example, the technology can be used to make video conferencing and connectivity of 4G network easier. Both help the back and forth communication from employee to employee. The input of data and numerous applications can provide individuals satisfaction of their needs. Also, the phone can improve the performance of employees’ production on a business or organization (Lyons, 2010). The Android phones have provided an economic and social infrastructure on society.
The manufacturing of Android phones has impacted the way we use cell phones now. The Android phones have had important leaps from phones of less sustainability of applications to more sustainability of applications. According to a report written by Kushan Mitra, she emphasized her perspectives on the Android applications. She concluded that the software for the Android gives grateful email experiences and the “Chrome Lite” browser on the phone is very efficient and excellent to users (2010). As new Android phones have been more enhanced, they have obtained new features on the applications and operating systems. Many new Android phones have worked well with Google Products such as Google Docs, YouTube, Gmail, and wide accesses of applications. This gives a great sense of user-interface. The applications for the Android phones are very accessible to everyone. Most importantly, every individual who has obtained a smart phone will be easily connected to the Internet (Lyons, 2010). This is a great way to be still connected to the social media such as Twitter, Facebook, and the news. Android - phones have changed the way phones have been used throughout time.
Ethical Issues
The ethical issues of Android phones have been attacked by many critics saying that individuals have depended on the use of their Android phones way too much. This reduces the standards of communicating to other people in the real world face-to-face because the phone, with its wide range of communication, has shifted their focus to text messaging and talking handheld (Reed, 2010). Another ethical dilemma of Android phones is the issue of privacy and hacking. For example, some attorneys have stated that their Android phones have been hacked by losing precious information on their phones such as information being out in the public, hackers obtaining bank account information, and wireless communication sessions being hacked. The Android phones have had some security risks with the technology implicating that little has been done to the ethical responsibilities.
Legal Issues
Many individuals may think that there is no problem using their Android phones. However, many legal issues have been stated that malicious applications and lack of security in the marketplace has hurt the image of Android phones. There should be more intervention of the protection of Android phones. Writer Matt Liebowitz writes about the increase of malicious software targeting Google’s Android smart phone platform affecting the customers who are frustrated of the damage that the malware has done (2011). This could potentially lose customers in the near future. There must be better improvements of Android phones that can incorporate better applications without any malfunction and to keeping information secured. If this carries on the Android phone’s image will be tarnished.
Social Issues
The social aspect of the Android is that it is used to connect to the social media such as Twitter, Facebook, and emails. This is very essential to sending information to friends and families. However, there is a huge commotion that the Android phones have made an impact on our social life. This can cause a decrease of communication when talking to real people (Javadi, 2001). The Android phones can send photos, pictures, and videos. Android phones have impacted many Americans to be more isolated in society. As more Android phones have increased sending letters or cards are less common in the world. Android phones have promoted the social communication over a long distance. The mobile revolution has changed the way many customers used their phones all around.
Further Research
My further investigation of Android phones is that new Android products will become better and efficient with applications, calls, and connection.  Also, it will advance the technology race in society. The latest Android phone that has been released has been the Samsung Galaxy S3. This Android phone has had better display quality, battery life, and better operating system (“Android-The New York Times,” n.d.). Android phones have captured many companies such as Motorola and Samsung to develop more and more Android products against the IPhone.  Android phones have made an impact on the markets by competing with different phones that are out there.
Conclusion
The Android phone has impacted individuals and businesses by establishing communication throughout the world. Also, Android phones have provided many individuals with applications and staying connected to the social media and emails. But with as many benefits as the Android phone has, many critics believe that their personal information has been leaked. Hacking and security concerns have been an issue for Android phones. There should be more protection that information would not be leaked that easily. Individuals rely on their phones every day to the point of being a repetitive act in society. As new Android phones are emerging, this will impact the mobile revolution for the next few years.
